Accessory Apartments
An accessory apartment (sometimes called an accessory dwelling unit or an in-law apartment,) is an attached or detached living space with a kitchen, bathroom and sleeping space. In West Tisbury, lots that are too small for a guesthouse can be permitted to have an accessory apartment if the apartment is rented at an affordable rate to income-qualified islanders.
